I co-founded Davis-Bartlow Gallery, an importer and distributor of 19th C. British and Irish oil paintings in 1972. Over the next 5 years I researched and priced over 1000 oil paintings. I completed my BA in History of Art in 1977, and moved to Chicago and became immersed in the graphic works of Picasso, Chagall, Miro, and other Modern and Old Master Artists while an associate at a Michigan Avenue gallery. I then joined Samuel Stein, a major dealer in Contemporary Master graphics and paintings by emerging artists. As known experts, we were often sought out for value estimates by art appraisers.

I have been a full-time appraiser since 2010.
